Highlights this month include The Silver Spitfire which tells the true story of Tom Neil and his Spitfire which he stripped down to the bare metal and turned into his personal aircraft. Keeping on the wartime theme Beryl Matthew's A New Day follows Hanna whose life seems to be turning around after a traumatic past only for War to loom on the horizon. In paperback this month we welcome Martina Cole's The Faithless and J. K. Rowling's A Casual Vacancy both of which quickly went out of print in hardback.
